Last Saturday was a lovely warm day, perhaps the last of the season. The cafes around Boston were full, reminding me of bees extracting the last nectar from the remaining flowers before the frost. At least we'll be able to move inside to get our sustenance in the cozier interiors of the restaurants. This weekend promises to be chillier, with the first frost warnings for inland areas. Boston will stay slightly warmer as the ocean's sun-warmed waters delay the inevitable a bit longer.
In our wanderings last weekend, we came across a car show brightening up the vast "brick desert" that is City Hall Plaza in Boston. Meticulously restored and maintained old cars were lined up for car enthusiasts to inspect and admire. I'm not a car buff, but it was fun to look at the cars and imagine cruisin' down the strip a la Grease.

I'm not sure where our wanderings with take us this weekend, but the trees are sporting their fall colors right here in the Boston area now, so we'll enjoy the scenery while we can. Alas, not cruisin' around in our hot wheels.
Car restoration has always been apart of my life. My father and I shared the same passion of turning clunkers into beautiful works of art. It has been a long time since my father and I have worked on a project together, but seeing these photos brings me back to working in the garage all day with my father. Thanks for sharing!
