[Fountain, South End, Boston; 7/24/11]
Last Sunday, before everything went south healthwise when we were supposed to be going north to Canada, we took a stroll over to Boston's South End. Although we had discovered the SoWa Open Market and galleries last year, there are always new discoveries to be found. Among our discoveries this time was the very large, tree-shaded Peter's Park dog run (with a smaller enclosure for the little dogs) which offers local dog owners a gorgeous place to take Fido out of the apartment to cavort with his buddies. Which has to be more fun than being tied to a lamp post while waiting for one's master at the market.

The area's shady streets and parks are always lovely to stroll through.

SoWa market is always fun, including the large indoor vintage market, where D bought me a nice necklace I'd tried on. I know, we hardly need to go elsewhere for vacation.
What a charming place. I love the metalwork in the shady street.

It is charming over in that area. Looks like the English "South End" is very different!
