[Beside my porch; 6pm, 8/1/09]
Gorgeous dry sunny day today, and I am playing hooky. Nine days in a row of work is plenty (not to mention that my trapezius muscles have been screaming at me). I did my part to help out the team, though putting in not nearly the excessive hours others did. I continue to debate whether working at this place is sustainable in the long run, and/or how to make it so. But that's for another time... Today I just need to stay home and enjoy the sunflowers and sun, and let the crankiness fall away so I can enjoy the weekend. Hope you all enjoy yours!
Oh dear, I wish you weren't so overworked! Why can't these people ever hire more people? I know that happens in so many places, yet with the unemployment numbers... Anyway, take it easy and enjoy your days off in the sunshine, Leslee!
Our new roof is finished as of yesterday, so this weekend we'll be busy returning furniture and plants to decks and washing the filthy skylights and windows. It's cooler now so it will not be difficult to work.

Marja-Leena: They actually laid off a few, although no writers, thankfully. Anyway, thanks for the good wishes - and congratulations on getting a good roof over your head!

Yeah, good for you. Hope you enjoyed your day. Having lean teams, where everyone picks up more work seems to be a sign of the times, but I hope it doesn't last forever. I can't seem to go for hours on end the way that I used to. Glad you took some time for yourself.

Yes, all too common, I'm afraid. Have to take the rest time when we can...
