[Sunflower bud opening; 9am, 7/17/09]
The humidity this morning is 99%. Still relatively cool, but due to get warmer - as well as drier - after the fog moves off late morning. It was a long work week, but I finished up so I can have the weekend free, which, you know, seems only fair. I think the plan is to wander aimlessly this weekend somewhere by the sea, which is what summer's all about, isn't it? Interspersed with things like chowder and ice cream.
---
Come winter, only the bathroom after a long hot shower will feel like this.
would that be clam chowder?
It is my Ragazzo's favourite food but he only gets to eat it in Boston because it's never the same anywhere else
maybe I should try making it myself....
there's a challenge!

Chowder and ice cream sounds wonderful! I'll look forward to both when I make my way back to Maine next month. I guess I can't complain about our humidity this weekend, reading about yours, but we found relief at the beach last night, which felt great. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Lovely sunflowers. The do say you can eatthe buds like artichokes but it would just seem a shame.
Chowder and ice cream sound wonderful.

Mouse: Clam or seafood chowder - same basic thing, one's just exclusively clams. Milky, not too creamy. :-)
Kat: Both chowder and ice cream will no doubt be plentiful. Enjoy your trip!
Lucy: Eat them, really?! You're right, it would be a shame. I have one sunny-faced flower open so far - a joy to see when I arrive home.
