[Swan, Furstenberg Nature Area, Ann Arbor MI;5/18/09]
It's the start of a holiday weekend, and I started even earlier by skipping out of work at lunchtime today. I was feeling lousy, not to mention unproductive. I'd rushed in for an 8am conference call that the client never called in to (sigh - at least it turns out they were happy - project successfully completed). I think that although my visit with my dad was pretty relaxing, the travel schedule was tough and I didn't get a break from work (or packing/unpacking and various appointments) before or after the trip. I needed some pure float time.
Hope you all have a relaxing weekend!

Nice photos! Hope you get some relaxing time this weekend, leslee!
We're now happily back home from a very full and busy trip and needing a rest from it, it seems, but lots to catch up with now. The lawn is a rather pretty meadow of grass and weeds a foot tall (daughter could not get the lawn mower started).

I like the concept of "pure float" time. Sounds like it could lead to "flow" experiences.

I must work tomorrow, and it promises to be a hot and sunny day here. The fight against the malware malevolents never ceases. Sighs deeply

Sounds lovely, and good for you for knowing what you need in the way of quiet time. BTW, I really like the haiku you've been posting...sorry not to have said so before.

Thanks, all.
Guess I haven't posted any haiku in awhile! Thanks for your encouragement, Beth.
