[Winged maple seed, at Payson Park Reservoir; 7pm, 5/27/08]
I've grown attached in the past year to my neighborhood - my places to go walking, my grocery store, the dry cleaners run by the nice Chinese lady, the local ice cream parlor, my yoga studio I walk to, the retarded guy next door, the guy who walks the little white poodle, the cop who waits at the corner every morning to make sure nobody runs over the schoolkids, my little zigzag route to work with the sometimes death defying 2-way crossing at the end.
So when the apartment search extends beyond too many of my usual markers, even if it's only a mile or two away, I feel a little disheartened. But, I'm still keeping my options open. I saw one today that was in the next town over, in a pretty neighborhood, and might have gone for it if it had a bathtub and not just a shower! Sorry, I need my hot soaks, especially in the winter. But, it was good to see another "close, but..." The realtor confirmed my growing suspicion that many more apartments will come on the market in June and July. There are listings still posted now for June 1st. We found our apartment last year two weeks before our lease started on July 1st. So, plenty of time to keep looking. At least I'm more clear on what I want so I can be ready to snap up the Right Place when it comes along.
Great image!! Must feel good that you are making some kind of progress in the hunt; will keep fingers crossed for that 'right' one!

Thanks, Marja-Leena. Not sure how much progress I'm making. Just need patience now!

I'm wondering if the upcoming inferior Sun/Mercury conjunction at the end of next week might be some kind of turning point in the hunt ....

MM: Last night I was scanning my ephemeris looking for something that might be a clue to movement there! Thanks for pointing that out - and I hope you're right!
By the way, my progressed Sun is exactly conjunct my IC on July 1st. I can move later, but I thought it would be a fitting move day!
