Very tired. Sleep drugged with allergy meds, days dopey and still sneezing - unless more meds, and then clear but stupid, and fatigued anyway. Emotions rise and descend with the amount of available energy.
An apartment possibility came and went, but perhaps for the best. Patience needed. Today was hot and sticky, but this afternoon a blessed downpour, washing away pollen and heat. Then the sun came back out and sparkled every droplet clinging to leaf and petal.
And now happy Brazillian music playing on my Seu Jorge station on Pandora.com, lifting...
It's an astrological anniversary of sorts of my mother's passing. A transit that's been hanging around close for awhile, but exact today. Haven't had much time or clarity to think about it, but it's there. Background processing, slowing down the system...
Sometimes your writing is like a prayer and an astrological reading. The mood and the photos in this piece work so beautifully together.
Which isn't to say that I'm ignoring what you're writing about. Hugs and antihistamines (the non-drowsy kind).

Joanna: Wow, thank you. It felt like pulling teeth at the time. Glad it worked. :-) (And I'm taking the non-drowsy kind! Such is my sensitive system. Will take the hugs, though.)

Actually, I'm kind of relieved, in the misery loves company sort of way, to know that someone else is made drowsy by the non-drowsy, although I truly wish it were true for neither of us. I swear it affects my syntax, too. :-)

Sorry to hear about your misery, Leslee, hope it all clears soon. Lovely photos, a nice touch on a sad anniversary.

That first picture where the rain on the window is a continuation of the foliage on the trees... so beautiful, so eloquent.

Beth: Thank you.
MB: It also causes headache, dry mouth, GI and urinary problems, and sometimes sleep disturbances, among other things. Such is the misery of allergies that these things are preferable over allergy symptoms! I take half a one in the evening, and only take the other half under duress.
Marja-Leena: Thank you, and I think it must begin to clear soon...
RR: Thanks. :-)

Isn't it nice to have the irises here now that the wisteria and lilacs are leaving? Such a beautiful season, even with the rain, which mashed down my neighbor's enormous orange poppies, but only for a day.

Sara: Yes, I've been noticing all the irises. Some gorgeous spotted purple ones down the corner tonight. The rain was a fun one, not continuous, just a glorious shower and over.
