Oh yes, pitch dark. Sun sets at a little after 4:00 these days. At least the snow makes it seem brighter.

Ah! I do like such Christmas houses. I've seen them when I lived in California, there were even neighbourhoods that did competitions, who had the prettiest Christmas house.. I don't care that it may be 'cheap or cheesy', I find it innocent and lovely. Lights rule. (except for the environment, but it's only Christmas once a year anyway)

Anne-Mieke: Nice to see you here - yes, it's nice to see things lit up, although some is more tasteful than others! It only happens once a year, as you say.
