[Ingrid in the snow (I'm dog sitting until K returns tomorrow)]
It appears that with last night's snow we will have broken the record for the snowiest December in Boston history (set in 1970 at 27.9 inches). There's a chance of a bit of snow tomorrow, but that's on next year's count. I was happy to find it to be only an inch or so of new snow, and very wet so easy to walk and drive on. I have to work today - hoping they'll let us out early. No big plans for tonight, though. But for those of you going out, have a safe and fun evening!
--
Update: It seems I have plans after all. A friend's boyfriend is ill, so we'll be off to the movies and grab a bite to eat tonight. The snow stopped, the sun came out, everything is melting, and I'm home. Now I think I'll nap - it's been a long year. ;-)
the snow looks so inviting, comfy really-- on the computer screen anyway

Mark: Yes, a light snow, enough to cover the dirt.
MM: Thanks - not so cold, though! Melting...
TG: Thanks! Same to you.
Marja-Leena: Yes, the snow does brighten things.
Happy New Year, everyone!

I never minded the snow when I didn't have to drive in it. This year, I've already gone toxic on the stuff. Still, it's pretty. Ingrid's a good doggie. Here's to a grand and challenging year gone, and a hopeful new ear to come.

We were in Massachusetts between snowstorms, which made traveling easy. Happy New Year to you, and, of course, to Ingrid, the dog who has great posture. Does she attack feet when she's on a walk?

Leslee, have a happy new year and a great 2998 (I can't believe it's 2008)!
Your pictures are as beautiful as ever.
I am so excited that while visiting my parents in Southern Oregon, we had 2 days of snow (which hasn't happened in several years), I was SO happy. It was the most beautiful winter wonderland. I took a ton of pictures in my effort to preserve the moment. Of course, we had just a little bit of snow, but I was grateful for every snowflake.

Zhoen: Yes, seems like it was a challenging year for you, too. Best wishes for your new year.
Joanne: Wow, you must have been here on a couple of rare days! No, no foot biting on walks, and she's been somewhat better lately (or I've been walking instinctively in a way that doesn't invite foot biting).
Kat: Happy 2008 to you, too. Glad you enjoyed your trip and got some snow fulfillment! We've had ours already. :-}

Happy New Year, Leslee! Sounds like it was lovely and peaceful.

Intrepid sometimes, except when she's hiding under the bed because of a storm or something. She's pretty cute, though. Happy New Year to you - all the best in 2008!
