K brought home a patient last Thursday night - a little Papillon who'd been hit by a car and was in pretty bad shape. Crushed pelvis, really nasty bruises. She didn't want to leave him overnight in the clinic after his surgery, so brought him home. And she had him over the weekend, when I was away, and until tonight. The owners vanished, so he was on his own. But he's a little cutie and won't be homeless for long. Names so far have ranged from "Peanut" to "Crash Bandicoot." Here's how he looked last Friday morning:
Probably just as well that Ingrid, um, doesn't play well with others or we'd be adding a household member. As it is, Ingrid has been good, basically because she only attacks what moves (including our feet and guests' feet, sigh) and he hasn't been moving much as yet. But he's been up on his four paws and seems to be recovering well.
Oh, goodness. He is just adorable. What a little charmer you have. No doubt he will find a home soon.

...and if he doesn't find a home, I know where he can stay awhile. ;-)

(but only if we can rename him "Jonathan Papillon")

Love all the names.

Are you sure Ingrid isn't a large cat?

What a sweety!

Yes, I'm sure he'll find a good home. Doesn't take up much room, either. ;-)
Lorianne: Only if he can pitch. Currently on the disabled list.
Zhoen: He does seem to invite it.
Joanna: She has many cat-like qualities, besides going after anything that moves. She also gets along just fine with cats, which probably proves she isn't one.
Lucy: Yes, very sweet. :-)

So adorable! And both comforting and distracting, I bet. Can't you keep him a while?

Another vet took him for the time being as K is out of town. So no distraction from him this weekend!
