Boxed

We're off. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time to pack up quite everything, but managing what I did within less than three weeks while working full-time and commuting -- well, not so bad. I'll be making return trips next weekend for patching walls, cleaning, and packing up the odds and ends. And after the movers come this morning, we'll be back this afternoon for various things, including computers. Our internet connection at the apartment won't be up until Friday, although I can check email from work Tuesday through Thursday. I should be re-connected on Friday. Until then...

The movers were late, things took longer though seemed to go fine. Of course I haven't been able to find the screws to put my bed back together. Anyway, I'm just getting back to the condo now, at nearly 7pm. So much for cleaning up around here - I'm packing up the computers and heading back to the apartment.

Thanks for your good wishes. I wish I were outside the box - closest we can come is living out of boxes. Someday soon this will all be behind us...

oh gosh, i hate moving. i'll be doing it twice in the next six months--i'll be starting to pack next week and gearing up for the first move on August 15th; the next move will be near Christmas-time. delightful, right? ugh. i feel your pain.

i do love the empty house photos in the entry below, though; i'm sure it's a little nostalgic and sad, but there is something crisp and new about it, too. the fresh beginnings are usually quite fun.
