The sky can't seem to summon up enthusiasm for any course today. It mopes gray for hours, then rallies to throw down some smallish snow crystals, but it's not quite freezing out and they melt on contact so it gives up. Then the sun shines like the smile of someone with a headache. Soon enough darkness will pull a welcome curtain down on this day, with perhaps a fresh start tomorrow.
Its been a Twilight Zone week as it's the time of the year when we're in the twilight of 2006. I can't wait for it to be over. This week, my wife had her uncle die of cancer(bone, thanks to Agent orange exposure in the late 60's) and another friend of mine-an old girlfriend's mom who is 90-is dying as we speak of pancreatic cancer. I'll be at a wake in the next week it appears. People are edgy, it's like Christmas never happened. The holidays fell on MONDAYS...always better when it's a Thursday or Friday...then there's an outbreak of a "puke-virus" in Rhode Island, the health dept has alerted the news-so everyone is washing their hands to avoid...yikes. Yeah, clouds that are like a smile from someone with a headache. I feel like I have spent two weeks just trying to get organized. But I digress.
As always, Leslee, your blog is a breath of fresh air and poetic as anything!

Hey, Bob. Sorry to hear about Marianne's uncle (I left her a note) and your ex's mom. Watch out for the puke virus! It's a good time of year to rethink things and plan for the new year. Deaths usually remind me of the shortness of life (although 90-something...) so if these coincide with the time of year to make resolutions, maybe that's a good thing. Thanks again for reading and commenting! It's been slow around here lately.

It's very Un-Christmaslike these days. Even beforehand. Is this just me? It's not the weather(being lack of snow),just alot of overall attitudes I seem to pick up in public places.
I love the photos you take on your walks, BTW. Paintable.
