Despite waking at 5am dreaming of a mob of horseshoe crabs attacking a turtle, I am feeling more calm today. I stopped the mid-afternoon caffeine fix meant to help my brain function at work (quite effective, actually) on maybe 5-6 hours of intermittant sleep fueled by the caffeine fix from the previous day. Sleeplessness combined with caffeine equals jangled nerves. Not a good thing.
Yeah, I've learned to distrust the feelings I get after too many days of poor sleep - that state of extreme emotional fragility. Look out!
Horshoe crabs are very good luck - if you're an endangered red knot.

Thanks for the link, Dave. Interesting. Not so lucky for the horseshoe crabs! But then I guess they get harvested one way or the other.
