[Apartment doors, Montreal; June 4, 2006]
I was surprised to find so much color in Montreal. Besides the murals, there were colorfully painted stairs, doors, trim, an entire swath of townhouse. The set of apartment doors above reminded me of the windows and doors I saw in San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. But while there everything is colorful, in Montreal, these unexpected touches of color pop out against gray stone or brown-red brick, drawing your eye to them.

I really love your Montreal photos, Leslee! What a fun weekend you all had! I've been catching up after six days away - amazing how much there is to read just from that short time.
By the way, I've taken Typekey comment registration off, so you should have no more problems commenting. Thanks for letting me know.
Hope your discombobulation is going away and all will be rosy soon!

Thanks, Marja-Leena. I thought of you when we were at the Jungen exhibit. I only found out about him through your blog. Great find! I'll be back over to your site again soon!
