When you ask for things, they sometimes come in spades. I'm busy with work, fielding new internet dating emails (finally put up my new profile, which tends to generate an initial flurry of responses), and giving a lot of thought to traveling. This, more than anything else, would feed my soul! (as one commenter on my last post aptly put it).
When Maddy and I were in San Miguel de Allende last March, we met up with Jodi, who was staying at Reyna's B&B. Reyna called us las tres guapas and the three of us had a great time palling around while we were there. So with Maddy sounding more and more like she can't make it, I emailed Jodi in California and her response sounded very positive. It's yet to be seen if we can pull it together, but I'm getting excited again. Will keep you posted.
And now, back to work...
Oh, I hope that works out for you. What a wonderful thing that would be. This time of year can be so grim.

Let's face it, girlfriend. You're too guapa (quapisima!) for New England in wintertime... ;-)
I'm glad the Universe sent you a travel buddy, and work, and potential dates... Hooray for abundance!

Here's to that star...

Thanks, all. I just booked my flight. I'm a little freaked out! But I will be meeting up with Jodi for most of the trip. Still have to make reservations. The relaxing part will be when I get there!

Oh, wonderful! It will be great, I'm sure. The combination of Jodi's company most of the time and just a bit of time on your own to disprove any feeling that you have to have an extrovert companion with you in order not to isolate yourself (I doubt if this is true. You might take things more quietly, but will make contacts at your own pace - that's what I've found).

Leslee, I'm excited for you. How long a wait?

Jean: I'm sure you're right. My initial anxiety is getting there, although I've done it once (with Maddy last year), and getting my land legs - by which I mean my Spanish tongue and my bearings. After that I should be fine!

San Miguel de Allende otra vez? It sounds marvelous! In that case you have a certain degree of familiarity to perhaps allay some of the anxiety. Though I empathize with the anxiety of transition and the unknown and unfinished. Let alone the foreign language, etc, etc!

Si, y el fin un viaje a Morelia y una excursion para ver las mariposas monarchas! Yes, familiarity will help, and there was much I didn't see or do last time. It will be relaxing in SM, and then a nice interesting trip to Morelia before heading home. That's the plan anyway!

Hope your plans work out well and you have a great trip. I look forward to hearing more about San Miguel de Allende. Maybe you will get a chance to check out the Art University there? One of these years I too will go to Mexico!

Thanks, Marja-Leena. I'll have to post something about the trip soon. I've been very busy! You should go to San Miguel sometime - you'd love it! Great place for artists. I do hope to get to the Instituto and the museums this time.
