[Lily pad hieroglyphics on Auburn Lake, Mount Auburn Cemetery; 7/25/12]
After last weekend's busy explorations around Boston's waterfront and Harborwalk sites, I'm expecting a more relaxing weekend this time around. D suggested that we could stay home and watch the slideshow of our hundreds of photos taken last weekend and the weekend before, which we can watch on his big screen televsion from his Mac, courtesy of the Apple TV unit I gave him for Christmas. We can also watch the Olympics opening ceremonies and other Olympics events as well. We need never leave the couch! But I'm sure we will. While the weather looks unsettled for much of the weekend, with threats of scattered showers, there will be free live music in Copley Plaza for the Boston Summer Arts Weekend event, just a few blocks from the couch. In fact, there are several competing music options this weekend, all enticing - it's just that the one in Copley is by far the easiest to get to, with the added benefit of being close to home should the skies open up.

On Wednesday night, I met up with Lorianne to go for a walk around Mount Auburn Cemetery. While she was finding frogs, I was finding a bit of calm (my frog photo was rather blurry, but I did get a decent chipmunk shot).
Enjoy the weekend, everyone!

I'd like to think I helped you get that chipmunk shot since he and I were locked in a serious staring contest while you were shooting. Mount Auburn is such a great place for walking: by far one of my favorite places in/around the city.
I hope your weekend is a bit more relaxing than last!

That path at willow Pond looks so inviting ... as does the idea of finding calm. I have a busy Saturday, according to my calendar, but am hoping to do nothing tomorrow.
I love that picture of the lily pad hieroglyphics. Very calming :)

The first photo is wonderful. A meditation in itself... Bornali (previously Planethalder) x

Lorianne: You may be right about your help with the chipmunk. And certainly right about Mt Auburn for walking!
Maria: Glad you enjoyed the shots, and hope you got some time for doing nothing - an underrated way to spend a weekend day.
Bornali: Hey, glad to see you here under your new moniker! Thanks for stopping by - and hope all's well with you!
