Oh, perfect... :)You have captured the post-game zeitgeist in that picture!

Ha! Well, this is a good opportunity to stock up on Patriots gear for next year. And the Celtics are finally good after being terrible for years, so maybe it's their turn to experience a little Boston magic.

And as for the Pats...well, we can return to the classic Red Sox line of "Maybe next year."

wow. talk about fair weather friends.
I love this.
and my google reader is set up and working, can you tell?

Maria: Yes, it was pretty quiet in these parts this morning.

Lorianne: Oh, good point. I should actually buy some Pats gear, because next year...

C: Oh, very good. Just don't get to the point where you don't speak to us because you already know what's new with us. Of course now I'll have to remember not to repeat myself in person.

maybe the pats jinxed themselves by having a winning season. sigh.

I miss Brian Laudrup....

Funny picture. Again, you capture a moment of life so appropo. I think "New England" got itself WAAAAY too worked up and overhyped over that game. "Road to Perfection"...my God, lets believe our own press. I knew this would happen at the end, from the start so it was no disappointment. I mean, people were coming out of bars crying, they had a gal on the news with a PAts shirt on having a tantrum outside. Some police spoke of fights that broke out. As they say it ain't over til it's over and that just what happened there.

In Japan, it's the year of the Mouse. The Rat was last year for them. The Japanese are always one-upping the Chinese anyway.

Bob: I think you're right about the Pats getting worked up. I wasn't totally surprised either, and it's pretty sad that after this incredible season they're seen as losers now. I think it's ridiculous. Hopefully everyone will get some perspective in the off-season.

I've seen on several sites on the net that the Chinese use the same word for "rat" and "mouse" so it could be interpreted as either Year of the Rat or Year of the Mouse according to your preference. I'm also finding sites saying that in Japan it's also the Year of the Rat - maybe they also use a similar term?
