Kitchen window
It's my last full day house-sitting. Tomorrow I'll go home mid-day, and no doubt spend the rest of the day unpacking, sorting mail, doing laundry, watering plants, and generally getting resettled. I have some work to do this weekend to get ready for another busy work week. I also need to find some time soon to dig out my warm-weather clothes and do a little shopping for my trip to Mexico. I can't believe how fast it's coming up now - we're flying out on March 20!
But now... breathe, relax, one step at a time. I have a habit of getting into a kitchen sink mentality and stressing myself out -- alternating with a kitchen window mentality, that is, daydreaming of escape. Soon enough. Much to do in the meantime...

i love this. both the image and the words. i tend toward the same "kitchen" kind of mentality :)

Thanks, Anne. Well, you know what they say: If you can't stand the heat... :-)

I bet you are really looking forward to the Mexico trip! Enjoy it, it's much warmer down here right now than it is up there. :)

I think that it's always nice to come home where everything is familiar and you can just flop down in the chair and completely relax. But you have so much going on, I'll bet you hardly have time to anything of the sort.

Alicia - Yes, I am looking forward to it, so long as I don't panic about getting ready, etc.!
Roberta - I am hoping to find some time to flop at home tomorrow night and/or Sunday. I think I need more "flop" time than most people. Which is why I work at home, and why all this activity has me fried.
I'm also hoping we'll have lots of relax time in Mexico - my friend insists she goes to Mexico to relax. But this is someone who works with people all day long and then thinks nothing of going out and dancing tango a few nights a week. I'm a little worried!
